Licking County Hospital is Licking Memorial Health Systems. Licking Memorial Health Systems was opened in the late 1890s as a 9 bed hospital by more than 12 women who recognized the need for a hospital in the County. Today, Licking Memorial Health Systems has been serving the community of Licking County for over 100 years.

This 231-bed facility with more than 70 physicians specialize in the following practices: Anesthesiology, Oncology/Hematology, Dermatology, Otolaryngology (ENT), Emergency Medicine, Pathology, Family Practice Pediatrics, Gastroenterology Psychiatry, Geriatric Medicine Pulmonology, Hospitalists, Sleep Medicine, Internal Medicine, Surgical Services, Occupational Health, and Women's Health. The LMHS staff consists of approximately 1,400 employees in many areas. Physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, cooks, housekeepers, accountants, engineers, computer specialists, laboratory technicians, and administrators collaborate with the Physicians to provide excellent health services to its patients
